Olá Pessoal!!!



It's been a while sonce I've sent out an email; I've been here in Petrópolis now for I think 3 weeks! Which is just wild, it feels like it's been maybe a week. Anyways, it's been really crazy the past few weeks, tons of Português all day long, but I'm definitely learning a ton!! 



When I first got here i would say I probably understood about 10% of what people were saying, but now I'm probably around 45% which is wild to me how much I can understand. 



The other day at church, we were getting the Sacrament ready, and I was talking to this kid who we had lunch with the other day. He was asking me about my mission and stuff like that, and I was able to have a conversation with him without any help from anyone else. Granted he's like 10, but still, I think I can say I'm now as smart as a 10 year old when it comes to Português!  My companion, who's from Brasil is learning English right now, so he tries to talk to me every once in a while in English and when he does he sounds like a 2 year old. I'm only saying this because he knows a similar amount of English, as I do Português, which means when I talk I sound like a 2 year old! It's ok at least it gives people something to laugh about.



This week we had one lady on date for baptism, but she ended up not following though this week so we are hoping for next week!! We're also teaching this family that's so awesome they are asking tons of awesome questions about the gospel and we're hoping they'll get baptized soon!!



I don't have many pictures but the pizza here is AMAZING!!

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a little while since the last time I wrote. It's been a crazy few weeks.  So I'm here in my new area still São João Del-Rei, I've been assigned to this area for 3 weeks now, but only have been here physically for 2. The first week was super hectic, but the past two weeks have been amazing! Last week after finding a member that's been inactive for a little while, he led us to a few teens that have already been to church a few times! They are super super cool, they love the gospel and going to church! We had them on date to get baptized for this past Sunday, but sadly their mom doesn't feel like they're old enough to make the decision on their own, yet. So we're trying to help the whole family now see the truthfulness of the gospel!  Also, we found this other guy, he was a referral through other missionaries, we've met with him only a few times because his life is super busy. E aí cachorro, como vai. What's up everyone!!! this week has been pretyy wild, let me explain... Tuesday (dia de cavalo)- every Tuesday we get home late in the day because we have to travel 2 hours from where our district meets for district meeting, so it's never a full day of missionary work. However, this Tuesday we got home especially late, at 1:00 and had to wait until 3 to eat lunch, so when we were finally ready to work it was already almost 5, a lot later than usual!! So all we did was a ton of street contacts.  We wanted to get to know an area of our city that we haven't seen yet, so we went for a walk on the freeway (you read that right, the FREEWAY!), which surprisingly had a bunch of people walking on it.
