In writing my email this week, I was thinking about how I’d like to be more consistent at writing these, as it will be really cool after my mission to be able to look back on them for memories.  I’ll try to start writing an email every week… or maybe

I was transferred again!  This is my first week in my new area!  I was  in Sao Joao del Rei which was a beautiful city.  I was working with a branch there that had about 6 members at church each week.

now I’m in Congoyas.  This week we tried ot do a lot of finding.  Finding members.  Finding people who were already being taught.  Finding less actives.  I don’t know what’s going on, but a lot of our dots on the area book are terrible.  The addresses are wrong, so it’s been really hard this week.

The members who we’ve talked to have been super super cool and super helpful to us, so that’s helped a ton.

We’re teaching this one family.  The Dad in the family, his name is Silvio was already taught a while ago and loves the Book of Mormon and loves Joseph Smith and everything.  What happened was he went to a different church because it was closer and it was online and he didn’t know that our church was available online during covid.  So this week we’re really going to focus on him and his family.  We’re going to try to help them to come back to church with us.

This week has been awesome.  It’s been really cool to be able to train.  My companion is an American who doesn’t really speak Portuguese yet, so I’m really growing so much more as a person.  I’m learning to rely on myself to do things because I can’t really rely on my companion because he doesn’t speak Portuguese.  But it’s been super super fun.  I’ve learned so much about how to do things.

We have a program in the mission where each non-native English speaker is expected to study English.  I've just been assigned to be an instructor for this, so I'll be having virtual meetings w/ different missionaries from around the mission. I've been assigned to teach as a level 2 instructor which means the mission leadership is confident that my English proficiency is at laest at a 5 yr old level.  :)  How cool is it that the leadership of the church is aware of each and everyone of us.  They recognize that being able to communicate in the English language helps so much in non-English speaking countries.

I hope everyone has a good week! Love you all,  Bye!
