1 Year!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a few weeks since I've written, but I'm still here, still alive! 


Tomorrow (dia 28 de Março), I'll hit one year on my mission, which is wild. It only seems like it's been a month, but it's been the BEST year I've had in my life, HANDS DOWN. 
I want to share a few things I've learned while I've been out here:


1. I've learned the language of Portuguese! Which In itself Is pretty cool, but for throes of who you knew me while I was in school know that learning a new language for me was an impossible task! Ever since I started learning, it hasn't been easy. I remember being in the MTC and how hard it was. But when I got here to the field, being forced to learn, showed me really how much God is here for me. I remember the first few months and how i just didn't understand anything. But, the more I tried learning, the more the Lord blessed me, and now I'm able to be here and speak with people! 


2. Miracles are real! I really love the scripture in Ether that says " For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith." This is something I've noticed a lot on my mission. God wants to help us, he just has to see our faith for him to do it! 


3. Prayer. God really answers our prayers. One of the biggest differences I've seen in my life is through prayer. The hard times I've had during my mission, of which there are a lot, the more I ask the Lord for help the more He helps me. The Lord really LOVES every single one of us. 


I've learned so many things here on my mission, and more then anything my testimony of the gospel has grown immeasurably, as well as my joy that comes from that! 


I love you all, and hope you all can find new ways to strengthen your relationship with the Savior, no matter what you do.  I promise it will be worth it. I love yall, but the Savior loves y'all more!

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a little while since the last time I wrote. It's been a crazy few weeks.  So I'm here in my new area still São João Del-Rei, I've been assigned to this area for 3 weeks now, but only have been here physically for 2. The first week was super hectic, but the past two weeks have been amazing! Last week after finding a member that's been inactive for a little while, he led us to a few teens that have already been to church a few times! They are super super cool, they love the gospel and going to church! We had them on date to get baptized for this past Sunday, but sadly their mom doesn't feel like they're old enough to make the decision on their own, yet. So we're trying to help the whole family now see the truthfulness of the gospel!  Also, we found this other guy, he was a referral through other missionaries, we've met with him only a few times because his life is super busy. E aí cachorro, como vai. What's up everyone!!! this week has been pretyy wild, let me explain... Tuesday (dia de cavalo)- every Tuesday we get home late in the day because we have to travel 2 hours from where our district meets for district meeting, so it's never a full day of missionary work. However, this Tuesday we got home especially late, at 1:00 and had to wait until 3 to eat lunch, so when we were finally ready to work it was already almost 5, a lot later than usual!! So all we did was a ton of street contacts.  We wanted to get to know an area of our city that we haven't seen yet, so we went for a walk on the freeway (you read that right, the FREEWAY!), which surprisingly had a bunch of people walking on it. There we met this guy named João.  We started out talking to him about his life, and he seemed pretty cool.  We then asked if we could share a message with him, and his response was right now no, I lost my horse, I need to find him.
