Week Of Miracles!!

Hey everyone, it's been a little while! 


This week has been pretty hectic down here in Brazil! The Beginning of the week was pretty normal, but on Monday last week some Elders from a nearby city were visiting us and somehow got stuck in the chapel!! It was super funny! They were there for like 3 hours waiting for us to come back, and let's just say we were not in a hurry to get back, hahahha! 


On Tuesday we had our one normal day of work because Wednesday afternoon we left  for Juiz de Fora for a meeting, which was super sick! President talked alot about how hard work is essential to accomplish anything.  We ended up getting back at like 11:00hrs at night on Thursday night, so Wednesday and Thursday we weren't able to do anything. 


Then on Friday we did a split and we were working in a trio. 


Funny story there,  the first person we went to visit (which was before lunch, and we didn't eat breakfast), lives up a huge hill! We decided we would all sprint up the hill to see who wins! Sadly I did not win, but something cooler happened! When we got to the lady's house she wasn't there, but her friend was, so we asked if we could say a prayer. Before the prayer we were talking to her a little bit,  getting to know her and that's when the fun came in! I started to get really light headed and dizzy, so I stepped back a little and that's all I remember. From what my comps said, I sat down right in a pile of wet mud from the ground. As I sat down I just fell to the ground and passed out! I was fine though, it was just from the heat and lack of water! But, it was so cool because afterwards we were able to have a super spiritual prayer with her and she said she would go to church! Sadly she didn't, but at least now she knows who we are!!! 


The week keeps going, on Saturday me and my comp really needed to find some new people, so Saturday night we knocked quite a few doors.  Most of the people didn't let us in.  Then as we were headed back home we knocked on this door, and some older lady and her friend answered! We said we felt like we needed to ask if we could say a prayer with her, and she accepted! We said the prayer, shared a quick scripture with her, and invited her to church for the following morning.  She said she really wanted to go, so we asked if we could walk with her, and she said yes! So the next morning we went to go pick her up, but we were a few mins late.  We told her we would be there at 9:15AM, and ended up getting close to her house at 9:20AM AND that's when we saw her walking towards us!!!!  She decided since we weren't there she was going to start walking alone! 
At church she made really good friends with a member and LOVED church! We gave her a tour of the chapel, and had a super spiritual lesson in front of the baptismal font. We invited her to prepare to be baptized for this next Sunday, and she accepted instantly!!! Her name is Glaucia, so please everyone pray for her!! 


But yeah this week's been crazy... and on top of all of that, we also had a dope zone conference on Saturday, and some dope lessons with presidents' wife!

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a little while since the last time I wrote. It's been a crazy few weeks.  So I'm here in my new area still São João Del-Rei, I've been assigned to this area for 3 weeks now, but only have been here physically for 2. The first week was super hectic, but the past two weeks have been amazing! Last week after finding a member that's been inactive for a little while, he led us to a few teens that have already been to church a few times! They are super super cool, they love the gospel and going to church! We had them on date to get baptized for this past Sunday, but sadly their mom doesn't feel like they're old enough to make the decision on their own, yet. So we're trying to help the whole family now see the truthfulness of the gospel!  Also, we found this other guy, he was a referral through other missionaries, we've met with him only a few times because his life is super busy. E aí cachorro, como vai. What's up everyone!!! this week has been pretyy wild, let me explain... Tuesday (dia de cavalo)- every Tuesday we get home late in the day because we have to travel 2 hours from where our district meets for district meeting, so it's never a full day of missionary work. However, this Tuesday we got home especially late, at 1:00 and had to wait until 3 to eat lunch, so when we were finally ready to work it was already almost 5, a lot later than usual!! So all we did was a ton of street contacts.  We wanted to get to know an area of our city that we haven't seen yet, so we went for a walk on the freeway (you read that right, the FREEWAY!), which surprisingly had a bunch of people walking on it.
