Transferências

Hey y'all! What's up, so this week was transfers! And also a week of miracles! 


Let us start. 


To begin with we finally were able to mark a date with this lady named Fransisca, which was a miracle because she's super strong in her church. When we first met her, which was like 4 months ago, she thought we were a cult. Over the weeks teaching her, she was able to slowly understand more about the Book of Mormon, and the prophet Joseph Smith. It was a very slow process, but through a lot of prayers and conference talks and debates, she now says with confidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that this is the true church of Jesus Christ here on earth! She will be baptized this Friday, and the coolest part is, it's just two days after she's going to Italy with her kids, and she's gonna go to the temple in Rome! She's already giving car rides to our other investigators who can't make it to church walking. 


We made lunch for ourselves once this week, I made this thing called Stroganoff, which is super popular here and delicious!! And one of the dudes living with us made lemonade, I thought I could trust him with the lemonade because he is from Mexico, and he said his mom always makes it. But it was terrible. 


Which leads me to another miracle, a family that we've been teaching was baptized this past Friday! The mom was super excited for the opportunity to have a remission of her sins, so that she can change her life around and become a better example for her kids! And her two little boys were extremely excited to follow the example of Jesus Christ! 


Also this week we had an activity celebrating Christmas, a ton of the members brought their friends, so of course that was one of the best days for us! (Hint if you want to give the missionários a Christmas gift this Christmas, give them some people to teach!!) 


Also transfers happened, surprisingly I'm staying here in Varginha, my comp who was only here for one transfer left to a northern area, and in getting a new comp named Elder Davies! I don't really know him too well, but I'm super excited for this transfer, especially because it's the transfer of Christmas!!

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a little while since the last time I wrote. It's been a crazy few weeks.  So I'm here in my new area still São João Del-Rei, I've been assigned to this area for 3 weeks now, but only have been here physically for 2. The first week was super hectic, but the past two weeks have been amazing! Last week after finding a member that's been inactive for a little while, he led us to a few teens that have already been to church a few times! They are super super cool, they love the gospel and going to church! We had them on date to get baptized for this past Sunday, but sadly their mom doesn't feel like they're old enough to make the decision on their own, yet. So we're trying to help the whole family now see the truthfulness of the gospel!  Also, we found this other guy, he was a referral through other missionaries, we've met with him only a few times because his life is super busy. E aí cachorro, como vai. What's up everyone!!! this week has been pretyy wild, let me explain... Tuesday (dia de cavalo)- every Tuesday we get home late in the day because we have to travel 2 hours from where our district meets for district meeting, so it's never a full day of missionary work. However, this Tuesday we got home especially late, at 1:00 and had to wait until 3 to eat lunch, so when we were finally ready to work it was already almost 5, a lot later than usual!! So all we did was a ton of street contacts.  We wanted to get to know an area of our city that we haven't seen yet, so we went for a walk on the freeway (you read that right, the FREEWAY!), which surprisingly had a bunch of people walking on it.
