Francisca
What's up!
These past few weeks have been pretty hectic! I don't remember exactly what's happened: it's been a blur! The recent convert, Francisca that I talked about last time got baptized! And then 2 hours later left for Italy for 2 months!! On Sunday she talked about how amazing church was in Italy, even though no one was able to speak Portuguese. She said it was pretty funny! And this week she's going to the temple in Rome!
Things are going pretty well out here with my new comp, he's pretty sick! We've been seeing some super cool miracles in our area!
This past week we were working quite a bit in a city next door that doesn't have any members. One of the ladies we've been teaching from there chose to be baptized! We've also found some super cool people!
This week one of the people I'm living with, who's Brazilian, made brownies. He wasn't really sure how to make them, so they turned out pretty bad. SO of course the other 3 of us (Americans ) really wanted some good brownies to remind us of home, so on Saturday night we made some real brownies that tasted so good! We've all eaten way too many so now our stomachs are killing us kkk!!
My comp is also lactose intolerant, and here we've been eating Stroganoff a lot, which is basically just chicken with milk. Then for dessert, it's been pudding, and mosse. Which is just milk with sweetened milk hahha! So that's been fun!!
This week I studied a lot about diligence, I read in D&C 130:19-21
"19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come. 20 There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated— 21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated."
Especially as it comes to the end of my mission, I recognize the power and gift of being able to work with all diligence, the Lord is always watching our work and our lives, and when we are obedient to his commandments, he is required to bless us. His blessings and the joy that comes with being obedient is amazing! And he loves blessing us!
I invite you all to reflect on your lives and see how you can choose to follow Christ's perfect example so you can receive more of the joy he is so willing to give!
